GDPR - Discover the Smart Solution
Protect the business value in your data and stay ahead of the GDPR challenge
You could call it a perfect storm. Data is growing at an unprecedented rate of between 40 and 50% per year across a variety of devices and storage systems – which makes managing it a growing challenge from an IT perspective. From a business owner’s point of view data is an opportunity with potential to reveal greater insight into trends and patterns – but if that information identifies consumers or individuals, the business could be on a collision course with the upcoming EU GDPR which will apply from May 2018.
To meet these twin challenges, SureSkills is hosting a complimentary briefing for business and IT decision makers who will be directly affected by the implications of EU GDPR. Together with our partners Commvault and Microsoft, attendees will hear how to manage and protect critical data while staying on the right side of the forthcoming regulations.
To provide some more context to the event, in last week’s blog, we outlined why Commvault technology is the primary data management solution we intend to offer to our customers. According to Gartners magic its technology is independently verified as leading the industry and it ensures that your data remains protected and is easily retrievable if required.
For example, Commvault lets you carry out e-discovery, giving the ability to search for all data about an individual. This is likely to become more widely needed once the impact of GDPR is fully understood. We also believe that Commvault and Microsoft together make for a very powerful combination.
The packed agenda includes speakers from the fields of business, legal and technology, including Microsoft’s head of legal Rebecca Radloff, Nigel Tozer of Commvault, Lanre Oluwatona from the ICS, Darren Daly of solicitors ByrneWallace, along with a customer case study and real-world advice about dealing with the fallout from a data breach. The presenters will also take part in a Q&A session at the end of the formal presentations.
The half-day event takes place at the Westbury Hotel in Dublin on Tuesday 21 February. Details of how to register, as well as a full agenda, are available at our Eventbrite page here. There promises to be a lot of talk about GDPR between now and May 2018. We hope to see you on the day, where you’ll discover the smart solution.
